Jon – Executive Coach & Consultant

“I think there is much wisdom in the phrase “changing business by changing behaviours.” We know that change initiatives often under-perform, sometimes dismally. I focus on helping others (individuals, teams and organisations) to work with the dynamics of change, recognising that we all operate in open and therefore unpredictable systems.”

Jon started life as an economist and accountant, working with 3M, Whitbread and Exxon. Via an MBA at London Business School, he developed his career in management consulting. Whilst at PwC, he was a Partner for eight years, leading a number of client account teams in both public and private sectors and also the Transform and People and Change practice groups. Recently, he led the development of a new approach to change management, called Making Change Stick, and has also developed his executive coaching practice to complement his work in leadership and organisational development.

Jon is currently working towards a Masters in Executive Coaching at Ashridge to build on his current coaching accreditations. He is a great believer in lifelong learning and brings a sense of enquiry as well as passion to his consulting work. Jon is also a school governor and takes a lively interest in local village and common land conservation issues.

“Jon brings creativity with challenge to a project. He encouraged me to think about adopting different approaches and bought a catalogue of experience and practicality from other projects to apply to the current work at hand. Whilst bringing innovation to a solution, Jon also combined this with pragmatism – focussing on what would really work for the client. His focus has always been on a sustainable solution – that will being real long lasting benefits to the client.”
